Join Gerry as he takes part once again in an All-Star Jam during the Concert to Benefit Global Fund for Women this April at the legendary Maxwell’s in Hoboken. The night includes sets by Nick Wager, Aunt Ange, Clueless Allstars and Icewagon Flu.

This will be his second year performing at this charity event and he’s very honored to return. This year I’ll be singing the power-pop classic, “Alex Chilton” by The Replacements. So psyched! Hope to see you all there.

RSVP to the Facebook Invite -

Proceeds from the night will once again benefit the wonderful group Global Fund for Women. It is an international network committed to a world of equality and social justice. They advocate for and defend women’s rights by making grants to support women’s groups around the world. Since 1987, they have awarded over $71 million to 3,800 women’s organizations in 167 countries.

We are ready to throw a little annual party we like to call The Hoboken Music Awards, and we are set to honor our local music scene and the people who make it happen. Unlike last year, this years awards will focus more on the artists who play Hoboken venues on a regular basis, their music, and the people behind the scene who support, sponsor, promote & help keep “the scene” alive!

This is our night! A party, a celebration, a night of music, friends, peers & awards. Won’t you join us? Read more to find out all the details.

Gerry Perlinski Begins Recording New EP at Seaside Lounge Studios (7/6/10)

July 27, 2010 Comments Off

New Jersey based songwriter, Gerry Perlinski began recording his new EP this month at the indie rock powerhouse studio, Seaside Lounge in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Engineered by Josh Clark (The National, The Brought Low, The New Pornographers) the new album features Dan Fabricatore (bass) and Chris DeRosa (drums), plus a variety of special guests.

A mix of modern rock, indie roots rock and punk/new wave, Gerry’s sound defines what it means to be a new artist today. With influences ranging from Chris Whitley, Jeff Buckley and Ben Harper to dance-able indie rock like Interpol, Spoon and early U2 and The Police, it will be impossible not to get your feet moving and hips shakin’.

The album is set for release in Fall of 2010 and will be distributed on LA based indie label, Starving Dog Records.
